RECAP: Eckerd earns a walk-off 5-4 win over Northwood Thursday night (March 14)


  • Northwood took the lead in the top of the first inning thanks to a Colin McClelland two-run double.
  • Eckered cut the lead to 2-1 on a solo home run in the bottom of the second.
  • The Timberwolves pushed the lead back to two runs on a Nick Palmer RBI double, making the score 3-1 in the third inning.
  • Once again, the Tritons responded with a run of their own in the fourth to cut the Northwood lead to 3-2.
  • McClelland restored the two-run lead in the fifth on his second double of the night.
  • That would prove to be NU's last run of the night, however, as the Tritons came back to earn the win.
  • Eckerd got a two-out double in the seventh to tie the game and a two-out walkoff single in the bottom of the ninth to earn the win.
