Five Track & Field Athletes Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Recognition

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University track & field programs had five student-athletes earn All-Academic honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

On the men's side, Christopher Bent, Rami Gharsalli and Paul Evans were recognized. Carly D'Almeida and Madison Arnouts were honored on the women's side.

Both programs were also 2018 All-Academic teams - the women earned a 3.35 team cumulative grade-point average in 2017-18, while the men ended with a 3.07.

A total of 308 men and 405 women were honored. The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference had a total of 77 student-athletes recognized.

To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and have reached a provisional or automatic qualifying standard for the NCAA Championships in either the indoor or outdoor seasons.
