MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University women's basketball team has announced Ellie Taylor will be joining the program for the 2018-19 season.
Taylor, a graduate of Midland Dow High School, spent the 2017-18 season at St. Louis University. She will have three years of eligibility remaining.
"We couldn't be more happy and thrilled to have Ellie joining our program," said Head Coach Jeff Curtis. "She's a fantastic shooter, but I think one of her biggest assets is making other people better and her passing ability. There are so many factors that make this a monumental recruit for us, and I'm confident that she'll have a great career here."
Taylor was one of the top players in Michigan during her career at Dow High School. A two-time First Team All-State honoree, Taylor finished her high school career ranking third in school history with 1,382 points. She set school records for 3-point field goals in a season and a career. Taylor was named First Team All-Saginaw Valley League all four years of her career.
Northwood is coming off a 17-win season and reached the semifinals of the GLIAC Tournament.
