Mary Janiga is in her second season as an assistant men’s and women’s golf coach at Northwood University. She joined Dave Turner’s staff in the summer of 2019.

Janiga came to Northwood after a distinguished career at Mercer University. She was named to the All-SoCon Team as well as the All-SoCon Freshman Team in 2016. Janiga also earned All-SoCon team honors as a senior in 2019, when she ranked 10th in the conference in scoring average at 75.29. For her career, she averaged 75.5 over the span of 90 rounds as a Bear. In her time at Mercer, Janiga also qualified for the 2017 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship. She also was an excellent student at Mercer, earning Academic All-SoCon honors as well.

A native of Wellington, Florida, Janiga was a three-time Palm Beach County Player of the Year while at American Heritage High School. A two time team captain at American Heritage, she averaged 72.0 in 2014 while registering two holes-in-one. Her junior career was highlighted by a win at the 2015 Optimist International Junior Championship as well as a top five finish at the AJGA Seagate Championship.
