Women's Soccer Loses At Ferris State 4-1

OVERVIEW – #12 Ferris State University 

SCORE:  #12 Ferris State Bulldogs 4, Northwood Timberwolves 1 

RECORDS:  Northwood 2-10-1,  Ferris State 12-1-2 

LOCATION:  Bulldog Soccer Field – Big Rapids, Mich.   

RECAP:  Four first half goals were too much to overcome as the Timberwolves dropped a non-conference match at 12th ranked Ferris State University 4-1. 

 

GAME HIGHLIGHTS 

  • The Timberwolves defense was called into action early as Ferris tallied five shots in the opening fifteen minutes. 

  • The Bulldogs got the opening goal in the 18th minute when Carley Dubbert played a ball to Mackenzie Dawes who found the back of the net. 

  • Dawes turned helper in the 24th minute when she found Pia Nagel for the Bulldogs' second of the match. 

  • The Bulldogs added a third in the 36th minute as Dubbert found the back of the net.  A double assist was credited to Nagel and Maddie Fouts on the play. 

  • The hosts' fourth came just two minutes later as a solo goal by Dawes gave her the brace on the afternoon. 

  • The Timberwolves would get one goal back in the second half as Karina Parker assisted Katelyn Wilkowski in the 58th minute.
