Northwood University Athletic Events This Week

MIDLAND, MICH. - As the Northwood University student-athletes take their final exams, the Spring Sports season is also coming to a close. Women's Golf has qualified for the NCAA Super Regionals (first time since 2007) and has traveled to Chicago, Ill. to compete Sunday through Tuesday (May 3-5).

Baseball travels to Xenia, Ohio for the 2015 GLIAC Tournament. As the No. 3 seed, NU will face four seeded Ohio Dominican at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday (May 7) in the first round. The winner of that game will play on Friday (May 8) at 5:30 p.m.

Members of the Track and Field teams will travel to Grand Valley State this weekend for the Second to Last Chance Meet on Friday (May 8) and Last Chance Meet on Saturday (May 9). The NCAA Outdoor National Championships will also be held at GVSU this year - May 21-23. NU's Jeremy Wilchcombe currently ranks seventh (triple jump) in the country and has provisionally qualified for this meet. 

Northwood University's Graduation is scheduled for Saturday (May 9). Commencement is set for 10:30 a.m. for traditional undergraduate and MBA students, while the Adult Degree Program will start at 3:00 p.m. All Northwood graduation ceremonies will take place in the Bennett Sports Center.
