D1 Hockey Loses Both Games To #2 Adrian

LOCATION: Arrington Ice Arena – Adrian, Michigan 

RECAP: The Division I hockey team lost both of their games away at Adrian with a 5-2 loss on Thursday evening (September 25) and losing 3-0 Friday evening (September 26).  

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS 

  • Adrian responded late in the first period, scoring a shorthanded goal followed by a power-play goal five minutes later to go ahead 2-1. 

  • Despite many shots in the second period, the Timberwolves couldn't find the net. Adrian extended their lead to 3-1 with a goal before the break. 

  • Midway through the third period, Adrian added another power-play goal, increasing their lead to 4-1. 

  • In the final two minutes, the Bulldogs and Timberwolves exchanged goals, ending the game 5-2. Northwood forward Teagan Scheurer scored his first goal of the season.

 GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS 

  • Adrian opened the scoring halfway through the first period with a power-play goal, taking a 1-0 lead. The Bulldogs extended their advantage five minutes later to make the score 2-0. 

  • Northwood started slowly, managing only four shots in the first period. 

  • Midway through the second period, the Bulldogs scored their third goal just five seconds into a power play, pushing their lead to 3-0. 

  • In the third period, the Timberwolves came out strong, outshooting Adrian fourteen to four but couldn't find the net.
