RECAP: The Division 1 hockey team lost 5-3 against Adrian on Thursday night (February 26) in the lead up to the ACHA National Championships. 

GAME HIGHLIGHTS  

  • Adrian opened the scoring in the first period to take a 1-0 lead. 

  • The Bulldogs extended their advantage in the second period, adding two more goals to go up 3-0. 

  • Northwood responded with back-to-back goals to cut the deficit to 3-2. Teagan Scheurer got the Timberwolves on the board, assisted by Leo Crawford, before Trevor Stenglein found the net with help from Alex Blankenship and Lukas Nies. Adrian answered with a power-play goal to make it 4-2, but Jacob McLellan brought Northwood back within one at 4-3, setting up a tense final two minutes. The Bulldogs sealed the game with a goal in the closing seconds to secure a 5-3 victory.
