RECAP: The Division 3 hockey team beat Ferris State away 10-0 on Friday (October 3) and 8-1 at home on Saturday (October 4). 

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS 

  • The Timberwolves capped off the win with two more goals in the third period, sealing a 10-0 win. Connor Stempky and White each found the back of the net, with assists from Sebastiano Iavasile, White, and Kroll. 

  • Goaltender Aidan Schultz was perfect, stopping all eighteen shots he faced to earn a shutout against Ferris State.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS 

  • Northwood came out firing, taking an early lead just three minutes into the game with a goal from French, assisted by Kroll and Harfoot. Ferris State answered quickly, tying the game 1-1 just three minutes later. The Timberwolves regained control late in the first period when Kennedy set up Zwick for a goal, giving Northwood a 2-1 lead heading into the break. 

  • Kennedy struck again early in the period, this time finding the net off a pass from Stempky. Midway through the period, Ben Wessell extended the lead to 4-1, with French and Harfoot adding assists. 

  • The Timberwolves kept the pressure up in the third period, scoring four more goals. Goals came from Kennedy and Bennett, and a second of the night from Wessell and Freanch making the score 8-1. Sanborn recorded three assists in the final frame, while Carter Temple, LaRose, and Bennett each chipped in with one. 

  • Goaltender Schultz had another strong performance, stopping fourteen of fifteen shots he faced.
