RECAP: The Division 3 hockey team split games against Lawrence Tech over the weekend, first losing 4-3 away on Friday evening (November 14) followed by a 3-1 win at home on Saturday afternoon (November 15). 

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS 

  • Northwood opened the scoring with Colton LaRose finding Carter Temple to take a 1–0 lead. Lawrence Tech responded three minutes later to tie the game at 1–1. 

  • Early in the second period, the Timberwolves regained the lead on a power-play goal by Aidan French, assisted by Carter Remp, making it 2–1. The Blue Devils answered with two goals later in the period, pulling ahead 3–2 heading into the third. 

  • Lawrence Tech extended its lead to 4–2 midway through the final period. Thomas Kroll cut the deficit to 4–3 with help from Sebastiano Iavasile, but Northwood couldn't complete the comeback.

 GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS 

  • Northwood struck early, scoring twice in the first period to take a 2–0 lead. LaRose opened the scoring, assisted by Temple and Boston Bennett, followed by a goal from Temple off a setup from Noah Pearen. 

  • Lawrence Tech answered with a goal in the second period, cutting the deficit to 2–1 heading into the third. 

  • The Timberwolves sealed the 3–1 victory late in the final period, as Iavasile buried a short-handed goal assisted once again by Pearen.
