RECAP: The Division 3 hockey team went unbeaten in games against Michigan State over the weekend, first tying 1-1 at home on Saturday evening (November 22) followed by a 3-1 win away on Sunday afternoon (November 23). 

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS 

  • The first period saw eleven shots from each team, but neither could break the deadlock. 

  • Northwood opened the scoring in the second period with a goal from Thomas Kroll, assisted by Konnor White, to take a 1–0 lead. 

  • The Spartans found the equalizer late in the third period, tying the game 1–1.

  • The Timberwolves opened the scoring five minutes into the first period, with Connor Stempky finding Evan Kennedy to take a 1–0 lead. Michigan State answered five minutes later, tying the game at 1–1. 

  • Northwood regained the lead early in the second period on a goal from Aidan French, assisted by Luke Ciciretto, making it 2–1. 

  • The Timberwolves sealed the game in the third period when Carter Remp and Kennedy set up White, securing a 3–1 victory.
