D3 Hockey To Play Grand Valley, Middle Tennessee, And Saint Vincent In Pool Play

MIDLAND, MICH. – No. 10 Northwood is set to compete in the 2026 ACHA Division 3 National Championship in St. Louis, Missouri. Northwood has been placed in Pool B, where they will face No. 2 Middle Tennessee, No. 7 Grand Valley, and No. 19 Saint Vincent. The pool winner will advance to the Final Four.
The Timberwolves open tournament play against No. 7 Grand Valley on Wednesday (March 18) at 11:00 AM CDT at USA Arena–CCIC. They will then face No. 2 Middle Tennessee on Thursday (March 19) at 8:15 PM CDT at Plager Arena–CCIC, before wrapping up pool play against No. 19 Saint Vincent on Friday (March 20) at 2:00 PM CDT at USA Arena–CCIC. The tournament semifinals are scheduled for Saturday (March 21), with the championship game set for Sunday (March 22).
This marks Northwood's first appearance in the Division 3 National Championship, coming in their first season competing at the Division 3 level. The Timberwolves finished the year with a 19-7-1 record and went 7-3 in conference play, earning second place in the MCHC East during the regular season. Their season included a trip to the MCHC quarterfinals, where they fell to Michigan, 6-2.
Northwood will also be represented at nationals by its No. 21 Division 1 team. The D1 Timberwolves open their tournament on Thursday (March 12) at 10:15 AM CDT against No. 12 Utah.
