- The Timberwolves extended their advantage in the sixth on an RBI ground out that plated Khale Showers.
- Showers then made it 3-0 in the seventh on an fielder's choice that scored Michael Karam.
- The Trojans began their comeback in the seventh with a run on an error to make the score 3-1.
- Trevecca took advantage of two walks and a hit batter to open the eighth inning, during which the Trojans scored three runs to take their first lead of the day at 4-3.
- Northwood flipped the script in the ninth, drawing three walks to start the inning. NU tied the game on a Showers RBI groundout that scored Kyle Ziegler.
- Connor Kin then gave Northwood back the lead on an RBI groundout to score Brooks.
- NU extended their lead to 6-4 as Ryan Chargo successfully stole home.
- The Trojans responded once again in the bottom of the ninth, scoring two runs to force extra innings.
- The score remained 6-6 until the bottom of the 11th when Trevecca came through with the game-winning single to earn the win.
