Baseball Drops 12-2 Contest At Lindenwood

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Northwood got on the board first in the second inning on an error by the Lions to go up 1-0.
- Lindenwood responded with a two-run double in the bottom of the inning to take the lead for good at 2-1.
- The bottom of the third inning proved to be the key to the contest, as a combination of good Lindenwood hitting and poor Northwood defense allowed the Lions to score nine runs. Lindenwood had seven hits while Northwood had five errors in the third inning alone.
- The remainder of the game was uneventful – both teams scored one run in the fifth to round out the scoring.
- Northwood scored their final run when Kyle Ziegler came home on a pickoff play at first.
