GAME HIGHLIGHTS (NINE INNINGS)

  • For the third straight game, Grand Valley State got off to a fast start in the game, plating five runs in the first inning. GVSU scored four in the first inning of both games yesterday.
  • Northwood responded with a pair of runs in the second. Caden Duryea came home on a wild pitch, which was followed by a Matthew Meyer sacrifice fly that made the score 5-2.
  • GVSU followed with two in the second, five in the third, one in the fourth and two more in the sixth to go up 15-2.
  • The Lakers then scored eight more in the eighth to put the game away.
  • NU scored three runs in the ninth to round of the scoring, starting with Meyer came home on a wild pitch.
  • Matt Wouters and Duryea each had RBI singles for Northwood in the ninth.
