RECAP: Northwood baseball finishes the regular season by taking the series against Findlay with a split Saturday (May 2), with Findlay winning game one 4-2 and Northwood taking the nightcap 14-6.

  • Findlay responded with three in the second and three in the third to go up 6-2.
  • The key part of the game came in the fifth, as Northwood broke the game open with a big inning. A Findlay error scored the first run of the inning.
  • Caden Duryea cut the lead to two with an RBI single.
  • A wild pitch scored another NU run, which was followed by another Findlay error that tied the game at 6-6.
  • DeVries gave Northwood the lead back on an RBI single that made the score 7-6.
  • A Josh Getz bunt brought home another run to give the Timberwolves an 8-6 lead.
  • Evan Larson came through with a two-run single to cap an eight-run inning that put the Timberwolves on top 10-6.
  • Hallman scored a run on a wild pitch in the seventh to push the advantage to five.
  • In the eighth inning, DeVries drove in his fourth run of the day on a sacrifice fly that made the score 12-6.
