Lucas McKinney Named Second Team D2CCA All-Midwest Region
MIDLAND, MICH. – Senior Lucas McKinney from the Northwood University baseball team has earned Second Team All-Midwest Region honors from the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA).
Athletic Communications professionals nominated and voted on the All-Region teams.
In his final season at Northwood McKinney turned in and outstanding season. He finished the season with a 7-2 record and a 2.56 ERA. He struck out 53 in 63 1/3 innings of work. In conference play, McKinney led the G-MAC with a 1.73 ERA.
The Division II Conference Commissioners Association encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies and regulations that impact Division II intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.
