Esports Claims Three NECC Conference Titles, Sends Trio to National Championship

MIDLAND, MICH. – Northwood University Esports continues its championship run, as three varsity teams have claimed Division 1 Conference titles in the National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC), earning automatic qualification to the NECC National Championship.

Qualified Teams:
Varsity Overwatch
Varsity Valorant
Varsity Rocket League

Northwood's varsity Overwatch roster delivered a dominant performance in the conference finals, sweeping Arcadia University in a decisive 4-0 series to secure the championship.

The varsity Rocket League team overcame program rival Fisher College in a hard-fought matchup. After surviving a bracket reset, Northwood completed the comeback with a 4-2 series victory to claim the title.

Rounding out the championship performances, the varsity Valorant roster defeated Fisher College 2-1 in a tightly contested series to capture their conference crown.

With these victories, all three teams have automatically qualified for the NECC National Championship, set to take place in San Antonio, Texas. The event will be held in person at the Boeing Center at Tech Port from May 13 through May 18, where Northwood will compete against the top collegiate programs in the nation for a national title.
