The Northwood University men's basketball team earned a 75-58 exhibition victory over St. Francis Sunday afternoon (October 28).
The Timberwolves led 34-27 at halftime, thanks to a strong offensive effort. Northwood shot 52.2 percent from the floor (12-23) and 4-8 from 3-point range in the opening half. St. Francis finished at 35.7 percent (10-28) from the floor and 36.4 percent (4-11) from 3-point range.
Northwood continued to be efficient on the offensive end in the second, shooting 50.0 percent (15-30). The Timberwolves also finished with a 26-14 rebounding advantage in the second half.
Leading the way for Northwood was sophomore forward Will Bowles (East Detroit, Mich./South Lake), who came off the bench to finish with 19 points and 15 rebounds. Booker Stoudmire (Ypsilanti, Mich./Belleville) finished with 17 points, 14 of which came in the second half.
Northwood will travel to Northwood (FL) for its final exhibition contest Sunday (November 4) for the third annual President's Cup. The game will get under way at 7 p.m.
