RECAP: Northwood men's basketball drops a tough 76-73 against No. 13 Findlay Thursday night (February 6).

GAME STORY

• Northwood scored the first seven points of the game and led the remainder of the opening half.
• Findlay cut the lead to two later in the half at 13-11, only to see the Timberwolves score seven straight to push the lead to nine.
• The NU run eventually reached 17-3, giving Northwood their biggest lead of the game at 30-14.
• Northwood eventually held a 34-25 lead at the break.
• The Timberwolves maintained their advantage the majority of the second half and were on top 54-42 with 6:14 remaining.
• That is when the Oilers started their comeback, putting up 16-3 run in 3:34. That gave UF their first lead of the night at 58-57.
• Northwood responded to take a 66-63 lead into the final seconds, but a triple by UF's Josh Thorbahn with two seconds remaining sent the game to overtime with the score tied 66-66.
• Findlay had struggled from 3-point range until the final four minutes of regulation, connecting on just one of 21 attempts (4.8 percent). But the Oilers went 4-7 over the final four minutes to force overtime.
• Northwood led 73-70 in overtime with 2:28 remaining but were unable to score the rest of the way.  Findlay put up the final six points of the game to earn the win.
