Elijah Watson Earns Second G-MAC Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week Honor of the Season
MIDLAND, MICH. - Elijah Watson, a redshirt senior on the Northwood University Men's Basketball team, has been named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week, the league announced Monday (March 3).
It is the second time this season Watson has earned the honor, having also claimed the award November 25.
Watson led Northwood to a strong finish to the season, averaging 19.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. He shot 76.5 percent from the floor (13-17) and 92.3 percent from the foul line (12-13). He had 18 points and six rebounds in Northwood's road win at Lake Erie, going 5-5 from the floor and 8-8 from the foul line. Watson then scored 21 points while grabbing eight rebounds in a victory at Tiffin. He was 8-12 from the floor and 4-5 from the foul line against the Dragons.
Northwood has concluded their season.
