- Kentucky Wesleyan started the game with five straight points for the early advantage.
- Northwood came back to go on top 12-11 at the 14:50 mark.
- KWC took their biggest lead of the half at 26-19, only to see Northwood score eight straight points to go up 28-26 with 5:51 remaining.
- The Panthers went back on top for the rest of the half, holding a 39-36 lead at the break.
- Northwood came out strong at the start of the second half scoring 22 of the first 30 points to turn a three-point halftime deficit into a 58-47 lead.
- The Timberwolves led 66-53 with 9:23 remaining, but the Panthers did not go away. KWC scored 24 points in 6:16, allowing Kentucky Wesleyan to take a 77-74 lead with 2:46 to go.
- That would prove to be the final points of the game for the Panthers, as Northwood scored the final seven points of the contest to earn the win.
