RECAP: Sixth-seeded Northwood men's basketball sees its season come to an end with a 67-52 loss at No. 3 Ashland Tuesday night (March 3).
GAME STORY
- The first half was tight throughout – each team's largest lead was four points in the opening 20 minutes.
- Ashland held a 27-24 edge at the break.
- The first three-possession lead of the game came at the 12:46 mark of the second half when AU led 37-30.
- With the Eagles leading 38-32 with 11:57 remaining, Ashland made the run to put the game away. AU scored 20 of the next 25 points to open up a 58-37 lead with 4:49 to go.
- Northwood kept fighting, posting a 10-0 run to get within 11 at 58-47 with under three minutes remaining.
- That was as close as the Timberwolves would get, however, as the Eagles closed out a 15-point victory.
