Will Young, Parker Day Earn All-Great Midwest Honors

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University men's basketball team placed two student-athletes on the All-Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) teams, the league announced Friday (March 6).
Senior guard Will Young II was named First Team All-Great Midwest, while senior forward Parker Day claimed Second Team honors.
Young turned in a breakout senior season, finishing the year averaging 17.3 points per game. He shot 43.4 percent from the floor while leading the team with 50 3-point field goals. Young poured in at least 24 points seven times this season, which included three 30-point games. He finished the season ranked third in the G-MAC in scoring.
Day made his lone season for Northwood a strong one, averaging 16.3 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. He shot 49.5 percent from the floor and 82.3 percent from the foul line. He scored in double figures in 26 of 29 games and cracked the 30-point mark three times. Day ended the season ranked fifth in the G-MAC in scoring and second in rebounding.
Northwood finished the season 16-13 overall while going 10-10 in G-MAC play. The Timberwolves set as school record for home wins (13) while making their first appearance in the G-MAC Tournament in program history.
