P.J. Weaver joined the men's basketball staff in the the summer of 2024.

Weaver comes back to Northwood after serving as a head varsity basketball coach at Bay City Western High School last year. In his first season as a varsity head coach, he led Western to 11 wins, their best season since 2011.

Weaver was a two-year starter for the Timberwolves from 2015-17 He scored 379 points and grabbing 223 rebounds in 45 games, under former coach Jeff Rekeweg.

A Dayton, Ohio native, PJ earned his bachelor’s degree from Northwood University in business administration in 2020. 

“I am so pumped up and excited to pick up where I left off here at this beautiful school, but this time as a coach,” said Weaver.  “We have so much potential to do something special for our school, city and, most of all, alums. I look forward to helping bring some extremely high energy and light back into our men's basketball program.”
