Men's Golf Finishes Third At The Arendsen Invitational

The Northwood University men's golf team opened its 2013-14 season by placing third at the Arendsen Invitational Sunday afternoon (September 8).

All 36-holes in the event were played on Sunday at the Meadows Golf Club.  The course played as a 7,072 yard, par-72.

Northwood shot team scores of 302-308 to finish at 610 overall.  Indianapolis was the overall winner at 594, followed by Grand Valley State at 603.  Drury rounded out the field at 614.

A pair of newcomers led the way for Northwood.  Redshirt freshman Jeff Conflitti (Plymouth, Mich./Detroit Catholic Central) finished sixth overall, carding rounds of 73-76.  Matt Garland (Battle Creek, Mich./Lakeview) tied for 10^th overall at 151 (76-75).  A total of 33 players competed at the event.

Northwood will compete at the GLIAC North Tournament September 21-22.
