Men's Golf Finishes Seventh At GLIAC Championships
The Northwood University men's golf team finished seventh out of 14 teams at the GLIAC Championships Monday afternoon (October 7).
The three-day, 54-hole event was held at the Eagle Eye Golf Club in Bath, Michigan. The course played as a 7,117 yard, par 72.
Northwood shot team scores of 302-313-311 to finish at 926 overall. Malone was the overall winner at 903, followed closely by Ashland and Ohio Dominican, both of whom finished at 904.
The Timberwolves were led by senior Bruce Eccleton (Saginaw, Mich./Mott CC). He had his best event at Northwood, tying for third overall with an eight-over-par total of 224. He carded rounds of 74-77-73. Gilles Medale (Valence D'Agen, France) tied for 27th at 232 (79-77-76). A total of 70 players competed at the event.
Northwood will wrap up its fall season at the second Midwest Regional Tournament October 14-15.
