RECAP: Northwood men's lacrosse returned to action Sunday (February 23). The Timberwolves battled the Hawks in Kansas City but eventually fell 20-10.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS 

• The Hawks and Timberwolves were knotted at 1-1 eight minutes into the game. The Hawks scored before MacKennan Tognetti brought even.
• Rockhurst went on a 3-0 scoring run, taking the 4-1 lead into the first quarter.
• Drew Lockwood broke the Northwood drought, cutting the lead to 4-2 RU before the Hawks made it 5-2 after the first.
• The Hawks' offense continued its momentum in the second quarter, outshooting the Timberwolves 13-2 midway through. With a 5-1 goal advantage, the Hawks took a seven-goal lead, 10-3, at the 5:30 mark of the second quarter.
• Rockhurst held the Timberwolves to one goal in the second quarter, and it had a 12-3 advantage at the half.
• Northwood found themselves down 16-3 two minutes into the third period before going, themselves on a 3-1 scoring run. At the end of three, Rockhurst held the 18-6 lead.
• The Timberwolves comeback fell short as the Hawks prevailed by a final of 20-10.
