Rogers Takes Home Men's Lacrosse's Program's First Conference Athlete Of The Week Honor
INDIANAPOLIS, IND. – Andrew Rogers of the Northwood University men's lacrosse team has been named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Offensive Athlete of the Week.
He is the first Northwood men's lacrosse player in program history to earn a weekly honor from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.
Rogers propelled Northwood to a win over Davis & Elkins, 25-11, on Saturday (April 19). The true freshman matched the G-MAC record and broke the program record with 17 points, scoring seven goals and assisting on 10 others. 17 is the most points in a game by any player in DII this season.
Men's lacrosse is currently 5-7 this season and 4-4 in the G-MAC. They travel to Caledonia, Mich., on Tuesday (April 22) to face off with Davenport at DU's Turf Field. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
