Lockwood, Rogers, and Wilmot Earn Conference Accolades For Men's Lacrosse

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood men's lacrosse program had three athletes honored by the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC), two for being named to All-Conference teams, as well as the Elite 26 Award winner.

THE ATHLETES

Freshmen Drew Lockwood and Andrew Rogers both received Second Team All-Conference nods. Lockwood was also named Freshman of the Year by the G-MAC. The duo is the first players in program history to earn All-Conference Honors.

Lockwood was a key midfield player for the Timberwolves, scoring 47 points for Northwood, including 24 goals and 23 assists, both second on the team. He also secured 34 ground balls. On April 2, Lockwood was named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Team of the Week. The USILA Team of the Week recognizes players who posted exceptional performances in their programs' games this past week.

Rogers led the Timberwolves in all offensive categories this season, scoring 59 points this season on 34 goals and 25 assists. The freshman from Lowell, Mich., was named the G-MAC Offensive Athlete of the Week (April 21) after matching the G-MAC record and breaking the program record with 17 points (7 goals and 10 assists) in Northwood's win over Davis & Elkins (April 19). 17 points is the most in a game by any player in DII this season.

Logan Wilmot was awarded the Elite 26 Award for his stellar work in the classroom. This award recognizes one student-athlete with the highest cumulative G.P.A. in their respective sport while having at least a sophomore classification athletically and academically.

Men's Lacrosse has concluded its 2025 campaign, going 5-9 overall with a 4-5 conference record while qualifying for the G-MAC Tournament.
