Men’s Lacrosse Remains No. 10 In NCAA North Regional Rankings

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood men's lacrosse team (11-3, 9-1 G-MAC) continues its historic season, holding steady at No. 10 in the latest NCAA DII North Region Rankings, released Wednesday (April 29).
These rankings reflect results through April 26, with Northwood continuing to hold firm inside the top 10 as the postseason picture becomes clearer. The Timberwolves maintain their position inside the regional top 10 for a second consecutive week, following last week's first-ever appearance in the NCAA regional rankings in program history.
Northwood is one of 10 teams ranked in the North Region, which continues to be led by No. 1 Adelphi and No. 2 Saint Anselm. The full regional rankings include Molloy, Pace, Seton Hill, Assumption, Saint Michael's, Frostburg State, Mercy, and Northwood.
The NCAA Division II Men's Lacrosse Championship features an 18-team field, with eight selections coming from the North Region and 10 from the South Region. Conference champions, including the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC), receive automatic qualification, while the remaining spots are filled through at-large selections. To be eligible for at-large consideration, teams must compete in at least 10 Division II contests and hold a .500 or better record against Division II opponents.
The 2026 NCAA Selection Show is scheduled for Sunday, May 3, at 7:30 p.m. ET on NCAA.com.
Opening-round action of the NCAA Tournament begins Wednesday, May 6, followed by first-round play on Sunday, May 10. The quarterfinals are set for Wednesday, May 13, with semifinal matchups scheduled for Sunday, May 17. The national championship game will be played Sunday, May 24, at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, Virginia.
In just its second season of reestablishment, Northwood has secured the No. 2 seed in the G-MAC Tournament and will host Davenport in a semifinal matchup on Wednesday (April 29) at 6:30 p.m. at Dean Field.
