The Northwood University men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 overtime contest at Lake Erie Sunday afternoon (September 15).
The game was the GLIAC opener for both teams. Northwood falls to 0-2 overall, 0-1 in the GLIAC. Lake Erie improves to 2-1-1 overall, 1-1 in the GLIAC.
The contest was evenly played throughout the contest. Lake Erie held a 19-17 edge in shots, while both teams finished the game with five corner kicks.
Lake Erie earned the win less than four minutes into overtime on the first shot for either team in the extra session.
Northwood will host its home opener Friday (September 20) against Walsh. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
