Men's Soccer Falls 2-1 At Findlay

FINDLAY, OHIO – The Northwood University men's soccer team falls 2-1 at Findlay Friday afternoon (September 26).

The Timberwolves are now 4-1-1 on the year, 2-1-1 in the GLIAC. The Oilers improve to 2-5 on the season, 1-3 in the GLIAC.

NU put the pressure on early, netting the first goal of the match at 9:33. James DeCosemo (Stokesley, England) netted his third goal of the season to put the Timberwolves ahead 1-0. With very few scoring opportunities, Northwood recorded three shots and two corner kicks in the opening period.

Holding a lead through a majority of the match, the Oilers scored the equalizer in the 85th minute. With less than a minute remaining in regulation, Findlay earned the dramatic win. The Timberwolves were able to get off six shots in the closing 45 min, but were unable to capitalize on any.

For the match, Northwood held the advantage in shots (9-5) and corner kicks (5-4). Adam Thomas (High Wycombe, England / John Hampden) recorded four shots, with two on goal.

The Timberwolves travel to No. 15 Tiffin on Sunday (September 28). Match is set to start at 4:30 p.m.
