RECAP: Men's Soccer hosted its home opener versus Findlay Thursday evening (September 25). The matchup between the programs proved to be an action-packed 1-1 draw.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

  • The Timberwolves came out with pressure. Crisp passing led to Oliver Jarvis breaking the scoring in the 13'. Zakaria Sanaa's lob pass down the seam landed right at the front foot of Jarvis. He would score through the legs of the Findlay keeper, giving Northwood the 1-0 lead.
  • Both teams were clean throughout the first half, with back-and-forth shots. The Oilers found the equalizer with a cross from the right side that was headed into the upper right corner in the 23'.
  • Findlay held the 7-4 shot advantage after one, including a 4-1 lead in corners.
  • Moving into the second half, the Timberwolves and Oilers were deadlocked at one. The Timberwolves just missed what would have been game-winners when Jackson Dear put one off the crossbar in the 59' and another header from Jarvis that missed right in the 75'.
  • The Timberwolves' defense was clean for the majority of the second half, providing enough for the 1-1 draw.
