RECAP: Men's Soccer squared off against No. 10-ranked Cedarville Saturday (October 4), which saw Cedarville capitalize on key opportunities early and never look back. The Yellow Jackets went on to take the 3-0 win.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Cedarville wasted no time getting on the board, scoring in just the 3'. A rebound off a defender set up a finish from eight yards out into the top left corner to make it 1-0.
- The Yellow Jackets struck again in the 18', as a chipped ball over the back line placed a shot inside the right post to double the lead, 2-0 CU.
- Northwood responded with some attacking chances of their own. Jackson Dear and Isaac Fernandez both forced saves in the first half, but Northwood came up empty in the first half.
- The second half featured a flurry of action just before the hour mark. In the 58', Northwood earned a penalty kick but came up empty. Less than a minute later, Cedarville was awarded a penalty of their own, converting with a strike into the upper right corner to make it 3-0.
