Ingham, Espino Join Northwood Men’s Soccer Staff
MIDLAND, MICH. – Northwood University head men's soccer coach Steve Bushre has announced the additions of Grant Ingham and Diego Espino as assistant coaches for the Timberwolves in 2026.
Ingham joins Northwood after most recently serving as an assistant coach at Wright State University. Before that, he spent two years as the director of operations at Xavier University, where the Musketeers won the 2023 Big East regular season and tournament championships.
Espino comes to Northwood after serving as a graduate assistant coach under Bushre at Southwest Baptist, where he helped the Bearcats achieve one of the most successful runs in program history.
"I've been fortunate to work with Grant and Diego over the past few years, and both bring tremendous value and experience to our program," Bushre said. "Grant brings Division I experience from Wright State and Xavier, along with high-level club experience. He will serve as our lead recruiter while also assisting with training and game preparation. Diego spent the last two years as an assistant coach at Southwest Baptist after a standout playing career as a captain at Point University. He will assist as our data analyst for the first team while leading our EDS program."
Ingham also spent three years with Cincinnati United Premier and holds a U.S. Soccer Federation D License. He earned a bachelor's degree in Sport Management and Marketing from Bluffton University.
A native of Panama City, Panama, Espino played collegiately at Point University from 2019-23, serving as team captain as a senior. He was part of Point's 2021 Appalachian Athletic Conference Championship team, the first conference title in program history, and helped the program make its first NAIA National Championship appearance.
Espino earned his MBA with a concentration in Data Analytics from Southwest Baptist University.
The Northwood men's soccer 2026 season kicks off August 27 with a home opener versus Northern Michigan at 7 p.m.
