Men's Tennis Defeats Findlay 8-1

The No. 13 Northwood University men's tennis team remained unbeaten on the season and clinched at least a share of its 18th straight GLIAC Championship with an 8-1 victory over Findlay Sunday morning (April 15).

The Timberwolves (8-0) are the lone unbeaten team in the GLIAC entering the final match of the season against Wayne State. WSU (7-1) and Ferris State (8-1) can earn a share of the GLIAC title if the Warriors were to defeat the Timberwolves.

Northwood is now 11-0 overall, 8-0 in the GLIAC. Findlay is now 8-8 overall, 3-6 in the GLIAC.

The Timberwolves came out strong in doubles, taking a 3-0 lead heading into singles. Northwood then earned five straight-set wins in singles to take the match.

Northwood and Wayne State's match will take place Wednesday (April 18) in Detroit at 2 p.m.
