Men's Tennis Defeats Ohio Dominican 6-3

The Northwood University men's tennis team improved to 2-0 on the season with a 6-3 win over Ohio Dominican Sunday afternoon (February 10).

The Timberwolves are also 2-0 in GLIAC play.  Ohio Dominican falls to 0-1 overall and in the GLIAC.

ODU got off to a strong start in doubles, winning at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.  Northwood's No. 1 team of Jean Menard and Florian Boggia saw the ODU team of Walid Gtari and Patrick Ohanian earn a chance to serve for the match, but Menard and Boggia fought back to claim a 9-7 win and send the Timberwolves to singles trailing 2-1.

Northwood controlled the play in in singles, winning five of the six matches.  All six matches contested went straight-sets.

Menard and Boggia each went 2-0 on the day to lead the way for the Timberwolves.

Northwood will next compete at Michigan Tech March 2.
