MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University men's tennis team picked up an 8-1 win over Tiffin Sunday afternoon (March 29).

Northwood improves to 9-2 overall, 4-0 in the GLIAC. Tiffin falls to 6-14 overall, 2-4 in the GLIAC.

The Timberwolves picked up two wins in the three doubles matches to earn a 2-1 lead heading into singles. NU nearly swept doubles, but Tiffin earned a hard-fought 9-7 win at the No. 2 position.

Northwood was dominant in singles, winning all six matches. NU took all of the matches in straight sets.

On the day, Sebastian Equez, Salikh Gilmutdinov, Austin Woody and Felipe Crema Bastistella all went 2-0.

Northwood will host Wayne State Saturday (April 4). First serve will be at 10 a.m. at the Greater Midland Tennis Center.
