Men's Tennis Falls At Ferris State 6-3

BIG RAPIDS, MICH. – The Northwood University men's tennis team dropped a 6-3 contest at Ferris State Thursday afternoon (April 9).

FSU takes over first place in the GLIAC with the win. They stand at 13-5 overall, 6-0 in the GLIAC. Northwood falls to 10-3 overall, 5-1 in the GLIAC.

The key to the match proved to be Ferris State's play in doubles. The Bulldogs won all three matches, including a 9-8 win at the No. 1 position.

Leading 3-0, FSU needed to win just two of the six singles matches to earn the victory. Northwood split the six singles matches, but it was not enough. NU won at four through six singles, thanks to wins by Konstantin Zhukov, Felipe Crema Batistella and Tanini Kader.

Northwood will travel to Grand Valley State Sunday (April 12). First serve is set for 2 p.m.
