Men's Tennis Earns Sixth Seed In The Midwest Region For NCAA Tournament
MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University men's tennis team has earned the No. 6 seed in the Midwest Region for the upcoming Division II Tournament, the NCAA announced Monday night (May 4).
This marks the 25th time Northwood has earned a trip to the NCAA Tournament overall, but the first time the Timberwolves have reached the event since 2019.
Northwood will face the No. 3 seed Wayne State in the opening round of the No. 2 regional Monday (May 11), starting at 12:30 p.m. at Ferris State University. The winner of that match will face the winner of the match between No. 2 seed Ferris State and No. 7 seed Drury May 12.
The team that emerges from the bracket will head to the finals May 20-24 in Surprise, Arizona.
Northwood heads to the NCAA Tournament with a 17-2 overall record. The Timberwolves took home the G-MAC Tournament championship with a dramatic 4-3 win over Tiffin.
