Bio

The Northwood University track and field teams have announced the hiring of Chris Rishko as an assistant coach. Chris Rishko will specialize in the throwing events.

This is Chris’s first year coaching at the collegiate level. Chris is a 2000 graduate of East Stroudsburg University, in East Stroudsburg Pa. There he competed predominantly as a thrower specializing in the Javelin, Weight, and Hammer Earning All-conference honors in three events.  During his junior year, Chris transitioned to the decathlon. 

After school, Chris served for 12 years with the USAF before moving to Midland with his wife, Sara, and three children.  In 2014, Chris completed his MS in Biology at Central Michigan University and is currently perusing his MBA at Northwood University.  Rishko also coached sprints and pole vault at H.H. Dow High School 2014.
