NEW ORLEANS, LA. – The 2021 Northwood University men’s cross-country team placed three athletes on the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association’s (USTFCCCA) All-Academic list.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-30 percent of their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers.
Northwood ranked eighth among all eligible NCAA Division II men’s cross country teams with a 3.573 team GPA. This is the third time in as many seasons that the Timberwolves have had a top-15 finish in team GPA among Division II. The Timberwolves are highlighted by senior Zane Aldrich who was a recipient of the GLIAC Fall Commissioners Award for his performance in the classroom and in competition. This is the second time Aldrich has been recognized by USTFCCCA All-Academic List.
