Northwood University Announced The Hiring Of Their First Powerlifting Head Coach

MIDLAND, MICH. — Northwood University is excited to announce Dalton Neitzel as the new Head Coach of Powerlifting. The team is expected to begin competition next year.

Neitzel is a Bay City native and graduated from Ohio Northern University with a degree in Strength and Conditioning. He has worked as a personal trainer since July and has spent the past ten months as a rehab specialist at Lake Effect Chiropractic. He is also set to receive his nutritionist certification at the beginning of the new year.

During his time at ONU, Neitzel served for multiple years as vice president of the Powerlifting Club. Under his leadership, the club grew from five members to more than thirty by the time he graduated. He helped numerous students compete in various meets and also competed himself, participating in the Iron Athletic Powerlifting Competition.

Neitzel is excited to begin and looks forward to growing the program.
