Stacey Klonowski Named To The Capital One Academic All-America Team

2013 Capital One Division II Academic All-America Teams

Stacey Klonowski (Canton, Mich./Plymouth), a junior on the Northwood University softball team, has been named to the Second Team Capital One Academic All-American team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

To be eligible for Academic All-America  consideration, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports information director.

Klonowski has turned in one of the finest individual seasons in Northwood history.  She ranked in the top seven in the GLIAC in 12 different categories.  Klonowski ended the season batting .415 with nine home runs and 34 RBI's, all of which rank her in the top-five in the conference.  All of those marks also rank her in the top-10 leaders in a season in Northwood history.  Despite being a junior, Klonowski ranks second in Northwood history with 22 home runs and a .377 career average while ranking third with 37 career doubles.

A Banking & Finance Management major, Klonowski currently maintains a 3.92 overall GPA.

Northwood finished the season 28-19 overall and 18-8 in the GLIAC.
