MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University athletic department has announced the hiring of Gregg Sauve as the head coach of the softball program.
He becomes the eighth head coach in the 33-year history of the program.

Sauve brings over 40 years of experience in fastpitch softball to the program in both the men's and women's game. During his time coaching, he has been a part of four state championships and over 40 World and National Tournament appearances. Sauve was a part of the 2013 Midland Emerson Aces staff that took home the ISC II World Championship. He also spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Midland High School.
"I feel very blessed to be able to move forward with the program," said Sauve. "I've really enjoyed working with the student-athletes over the last few years and am excited to continue that process. We've also got a great group of new players coming in the future. I look forward to continuing the tradition of Northwood softball."
