Softball Earns No. 3 Seed For The NCAA Midwest Regional Tournament

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University softball team has earned an at-large bid to the upcoming NCAA Midwest Regional Tournament. The brackets were announced Sunday night (May 16) by the NCAA.
Northwood is the third seed for the event, which will take place at Grand Valley State Wednesday-Saturday (May 19-22).
Grand Valley State (41-7) is the top seed for the event, followed by Indianapolis (43-6). Trevecca Nazarene (26-12) is seeded fourth, while Hillsdale (31-17) is fifth. Ohio Dominican (28-16) is the sixth-seeded team in the event.
The Timberwolves will face Ohio Dominican to open the double-elimination event. The winner of that game will face second-seeded UINDY in the second round. On the other side of the bracket, Trevecca Nazarene will face Hillsdale with the winner to take on Indianapolis.
The winner of the Midwest Regional will travel to the Division II World Series, which takes place May 27-31 in Denver, Colorado.
