RECAP: Northwood softball split Saturday's (March 7) games in Bartow, Fla., falling 5-4 to Glenville State in a close battle before bouncing back with a 4-1 win over American International.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS – GLENVILLE STATE
- Northwood jumped out first in the third inning when Ashley Ziel's RBI single brought home Brinley Eckerman for a 1-0 lead.
- Glenville State answered with a three-run fourth, highlighted by two RBI singles, taking a 3-1 advantage.
- The Timberwolves rallied in the fifth, scoring four runs, including three unearned, on a fielding error that allowed Ashlyn Lundquist, Lakyn Karr, and Delanie Gale to clear the bases and take a 4-3 lead.

- The Timberwolves added two more in the second inning, highlighted by Sienna La Sala's sacrifice fly and Eckerman's RBI single, giving Northwood a commanding 4-0 lead.
- American International scored its lone run in the bottom of the second after a Northwood fielding error, but Delaney Belding and Dalaney Gage combined to shut down the Yellow Jackets' offense the rest of the way.
