Binney Earns G-MAC Pitcher Of The Week Honors

MIDLAND, MICH. – Northwood softball pitcher Kamden Binney has been named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week on Monday (March 16 ) following her performances during the Timberwolves' trip to Florida.

Binney made four appearances with three starts, posting a 2-2 record across 22.1 innings in the circle. She recorded three complete games, highlighted by a six-inning shutout against California (Pa.) (March 10) while allowing just two hits in the victory.

Earlier in the week, Binney also delivered an eight-inning complete game win over Grand Valley State (March 9), allowing just one earned run to help lift the Timberwolves to a 4-3 victory.

For the week, Binney finished with a 2.82 ERA, allowing nine earned runs while striking out seven across her four appearances.

Northwood softball continues its season on Saturday, March 21, with a home opening doubleheader against Lake Erie, starting at Noon, followed by game two. Fans can enjoy Proper Taco food truck on-site during the games in Midland.
