Make It Six - Haviland Earns Sixth Career Athlete of Week Honor, This For Indoor Track
INDIANAPOLIS, IND. - Dillan Haviland earned Track & Field Track Athlete of the Week honors from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) this week, Monday (January 22). This is his sixth career Athlete of the Week honor and second for track & field this indoor season.
Haviland continued to cement himself in Northwood lore, chasing the exclusive sub-four-minute mile. The senior reset his program record with a 4:01.46 first place finish in the mile at the Mike Lints Alumni Meet at Grand Valley St. His mark is second-best in DII this season and comfortably clears the NCAA provisional mark by eight seconds.
Track & field and Haviland are back on the track this Friday and Saturday (January 26-27) for the Jet's Pizza Invitational at SVSU and the John Thomas Terrier Classic at Boston University.
